Zephyr Windwater is the patriarch of the pack and acting webmaster of this site. Look out, he can get a little silly sometimes.
Oooh, shiny! Hi everyone!
We've finally got a YouTube channel. *howls* From now on you can see any clips, storyboard videos etc that the staff thinks should be shared on Rainbow Wolf Productions' official channel.
As you can see from the Cast page, most of our cast has new ref sheets as well. We're getting there, little by little. I don't actually keep up with this blog as much as I should...
Ruger: You want me to take over, Dad?
Zephyr: *growls* I think you've done quite enough taking over!
Ruger: *folds ears* Dad! You were saying you were OK with that just last time!
Zephyr: Being OK with you taking over the movie is one thing, this is pretty much all I got left!
In the distance, a creator is facepalming at her characters. She decides the blog has been derailed enough and tosses them both back into their box for the time being.
"Sorry for the immaturity there," she writes. "They are getting along fine I promise. Check out the channel, we're uploading a clip a week for now of older tests and such. See ya around!"
This has been a long time coming, but I didn't know how to say it. In the interests of giving you the best story we can, I am stepping down as the main character for the current film. The story really belongs to my sons, and I can accept that. I hope you can too. Ruger and Cian will carry this film better than I ever could.
Any more information I could give at this time would be a huge spoiler. Just know that I am proud of all my children, and one day I will be remembered as their father. I can think of no greater honor.

We're climbing Jacob's Ladder. Heh Heh. Sorry. Hello again everyone. I've got a couple updates for you all. The script's first draft since the revamp is complete, and the story consultant *grumbles* is looking it over. It might take time, but we're getting there. The film keeps moving forward. Other news is some recent character concept art that you can see on deviantART. Ash is planning new products from Zazzle too.
Also, I never would have guessed so many 5-9 year olds would be doing internet searches and find this site. It's really interesting. Thanks for filling out the form.
OK, at first glance I thought the idea of a story consultant - someone to make sure we're reporting the events to the best of our ability in a way that is fully understandable to you, the audience - would be great! I mean, of course we want to tell the story to the best of our collected skill, right?
Wrong. Seriously, possibly cutting out characters? These are members of my family for crying out loud! You aren't just writing a story here, this is my LIFE! Hello! Let's not and say we did OK? Other than the possible loss of some characters, I guess it isn't too bad. It's easier to follow the events now and some script changes won't hurt anything. I hope.
In other news, the trailer and storyboarding are still in-progress. Character designs are being completed as well. (It's a lot of work to translate such good-looking canines into cartoon form.)
That's all I've got, sorry to disappoint.
*Intrusion by Ashleigh: I usually leave the blogging on this site to our hero, but I have to step in here. What Zephyr fails to realize is that what's considered being cut are scenes more than the characters themselves. Since he and his "sister" Ashtree have parallel stories some scenes exist simply to tie the two together. Because TWP is not the first story chronologically, these scenes throw off the flow of the film as why they matter is unknown. Don't mind his pouting, we are happy to finally have some guidance in this maze that is film adaption.
This is simply our first film, not our only one, and so these scene may show up in the next project if the script for The Windwater Pack's counterpart is complete by its release. If not, they are sure to show up eventually, if only as deleted scenes. Thanks for your support.
The film is moving along at a steady if slow pace. Character sheets are being done, the trailer is being animated, and lines are being recorded. I know I don’t keep you all updated as much as I should, but since things move so slow I just didn’t want to bore you with repeated “yes, we’re still working on it” posts. The Facebook page is updated more than my blog as concept art is released, and more products in the Art by Ashleigh store. But to make up for that, here’s some of the new sheets done by Selsea012 and Jennidash of my mate, Sequana. *wolf whistles*
